About the College
Departments, Programs, and Centers
With over 50 departments and programs, the College of Letters and Science covers a breadth of areas of study in the humanities, sciences, mathematics and social sciences. Each department in the college offers one or more majors for undergraduates, and many offer masters and Ph.D. programs as well. Programs and institutes in the college are not official majors, but are areas of more in-depth study for students and faculty and are interdisciplinary in nature, covering areas across the university.
