With over 50 years at UC Davis, Eldridge Moores is a true-blue Aggie and an asset to the College of Letters & ScienceDean’s Advisory Council. In 2013, Professor Moores was appointed distinguished professor emeritus in geology at UC Davis. He served as president of the Geological Society of Americaand—following his retirement as a professor of geology in 2003—as vice president of the International Union of Geological Sciences. Professor Moores earned a doctorate in geology from Princeton University. He has been a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council since 2014.
