WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Are you interested in graduate school in Chemistry, Earth and Planetary Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics?

MPS Day will provide an introduction to graduate studies at UC Davis, information about applying from campus advisors, and an overview of the necessary steps to apply. Lunch will be provided.

Faculty, college counselors and academic advisors are cordially invited to share and learn about the best ways to prepare transfer students for success at UC Davis.

MPS Day will provide an overview of the five departments of the Division of Mathematics and Physical Sciences (MPS): Chemistry, Earth and Planetary Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics. Lunch will be provided.

HOTEL

A limited number of free hotel rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To get on the list for a room, please email Lynne Arcangel (laarcangel@ucdavis.edu).

PARKING AND DIRECTIONS

The Buehler Alumni Center is located on the south-east portion of the UC Davis campus. The Gateway Parking Structure is located south of the building. Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays. 

Parking for patrons with DMV placards is available on the street level (mid-level) of the nearby parking structure, and on the surface lots near the covered walkway. There is also a short-term drop-off area directly in front of the entrance.

DIRECTIONS

From I-80 West (from Sacramento), take the UC Davis exit. Turn right onto Old Davis Road and continue north to the parking structure entrance on the right.

From I-80 East (from Bay Area), take the UC Davis exit. Turn left onto Old Davis Road and continue north to the parking structure entrance on the right.

From Highway 113 South (from Woodland), take the I-80 east off-ramp towards Sacramento. Take the UC Davis exit near the end of the ramp and turn left onto Old Davis Road. Continue north to the parking structure entrance on the right.
