Bio

With over 50 years at UC Davis, Eldridge Moores is a true-blue Aggie and an asset to the College of Letters & Science Dean’s Advisory Council. In 2013, Professor Moores was appointed distinguished professor emeritus in geology at UC Davis. He served as president of the Geological Society of Americaand—following his retirement as a professor of geology in 2003—as vice president of the International Union of Geological Sciences. Professor Moores earned a doctorate in geology from Princeton University. He has been a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council since 2014.
