Joan DePaoli enriches the College of Letters & Science Dean’s Advisory Council with her extensive experience as an artist, art historian, author, lecturer and curator. After teaching and lecturing in Thailand, Washington D.C. and The Princeton University Art Museum, she became the executive director of EducArt Projects Inc., a nonprofit organization developing exhibitions and educational programs. She has written eight books, most notably The Transparent Thread: Asian Philosophy in Recent American Art.
Joan (aka Geri) DePaoli studied fine art at UC Davis, studio art at the University of Maryland (B.A.) and the history of art at University of Maryland (M.A.), with postgraduate work at Princeton University. She joined the Dean’s Advisory Council in 2012.
