Undergraduate Education and Advising
Letia Graening is the Coordinator for International Academic Advising in the College of Letters and Science Dean's Office of Undergraduate Education and Advising. She holds a B.A. degree from Southern New Hampshire University in Communication with a Professional Writing Minor. She also holds an M.A. in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies at the California State University, Sacramento.
She started at UC Davis in 2011 while serving as the advising assistant in the Departments of Viticulture & Enology and Food Science & Technology. Prior to her work at UC Davis, she served in higher education at Virginia Tech in the Department of Music and the Department of Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise, respectively.
Letia serves as a co-chair, content developer, and facilitator for the Developing Deeper Advising Relationships (DDAR) Workshop series, which is a home-grown advisor training offered on the UC Davis campus. The development and content of this workshop has been presented and awarded at conferences such as the NACADA National and International conferences.
Letia identifies a first-generation student as well as a life-long learner, and appreciates the opportunity to work with underrepresented student populations in higher education and collaborate with other advisors on campus.
