Bio

Wendy Haws joined the College of Letters and Science in 2002. Wendy has 20 years of experience working in academic advising. She began her advising career as an Academic Advisor at the University of Oregon providing pre-health advising, coordinating the Campus-wide Peer Advising program and assisting with Orientation for new students. After serving for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Benin, West Africa, Wendy returned to the University of Oregon to serve as the Associate Director for the Office of Academic Advising.

Wendy coordinates the undeclared program and is passionate about supporting students in their exploration.  She teaches a First-Year Aggie Connection class, Aggie Explorers, supporting new students in major exploration. Wendy works with the first-year team, providing advising, programming and support to assist new students in their first year at UC Davis.

Wendy earned a B.A. in Religious Studies at the University of Virginia and an M.S. in Counseling at the University of Oregon. Outside of the office, Wendy enjoys backpacking, travelling, cooking, and spending time with family.
